Organic speciality coffee from Peru, roasted in Sweden by Johan & Nyström. Light roast, perfect for filter coffee machines, drippers, Chemex, AeroPress, French Press, and other pour-over brewing methods. Expect the highlighted notes of marzipan, plum, raisin, and blackberry.
Peru is still a relatively new origin on the specialty coffee map - altitude, soil, precipitation, sunshine; few countries deliver such optimal conditions for growing coffee. This one is from the Incahuasi cooperative in the Cusco region of southern Peru. The members of the Incahuasi cooperative grow coffee at staggering heights in majestic landscapes. The cooperative has more than 300 members, and in order to facilitate them, several collection sites and washing stations have been built along the massive mountain.
